Floral Tea Bird's Nest Series
Bird's nest has always been a delicacy centuries ago where only the royal families and wealthy associates could afford. It was believed that bird's nest has the ability in nourishing the lungs and stomach, thus boosting their functions to ward of illnesses.
Authentic bird's nest soup is made using the nests of the swiftlet, a tiny bird found throughout southeast Asia. These birds make their nests from strands of their own gummy saliva, which hardens when exposed to air. Once the nests are harvested, they are cleaned and prepared in many restaurants all over the world.
Chamomile and Rose
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the best time to consume bird’s nest is before bedtime, at least 3 hours after dinner, sometime between 11pm to 1pm when the body is most relaxed and easily “influenced”. To enhance the absorption by the body at night, Eu Yan Sang has carefully selected Chamomile and Rose to brew the bird’s nest because of the flowers’ calming and relaxing effects. On their own, these flowers have been used to calm the mind and improve sleep for centuries. Chamomile was an ingredient in the Middle Ages for preparing love lotions and liquors and was put in pillows for better sleep, while in ancient Egypt, Cleopatra had Rose petals stuffed into the mattress on which she laid.
With Eu Yan Sang combining the flowers in the form of fragrant teas with its quality bird’s nest, you can now find "Beauty" and "Relaxation" in a single bottle. Moreover, the products are formulated with reduced sugar content for those who are concerned about their daily sugar intake.
